Embracing Life's Journey: A Different Kind of Travel

Hey fellow adventurers,
I know you're probably expecting another travel blog post this week, but let’s keep it real – these past few weeks have been tough. I’ve been in a personal funk for several reasons, but I’m slowly finding my way out. When I created this travel blog, it was during a time of significant personal stress. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know some of my story. Today, I want to share a bit of that journey and offer some encouragement.
Since turning 27, I’ve taken on a lot of responsibility, lost people I thought would be in my life forever, and leaned heavily on my faith to stay grounded. I remind myself that I’ve faced worse challenges and come out stronger.
Wherever you are in the world right now, take a moment to relax. Give yourself permission to decompress and confront whatever you’re facing. Love yourself deeply, because the world isn’t always kind. We live in a society that glorifies overworking, where people constantly chase money and possessions but often miss out on truly experiencing life.
With Father’s Day coming up this Sunday, take the opportunity to be present with your loved ones. Let’s commit to giving love year-round to those who need it. Be kinder to your body and remember that you are wonderfully made in the image of the Lord (or your chosen creator). Live a little more each day.
This might not be the usual travel tips post, but I dare you to live: embark on that adventure, create your summer bucket list, and have the time of your life. Take that road trip with your mom, spend quality time with your siblings, and make memories with your nieces and nephews. Ask Grandma for her favorite recipe and cook it together. Do all the things you’ve dreamed of without fear and start living a little on the edge. Life is too short to be stuck in the same routine.
While today’s post is different from our usual travel tips, remember that living fully is the greatest journey of all. Until next time…

Live well, love hard, and travel often.

Can't wait to read what blessings, strengths, and opportunities life has brought you these days. We will always be rooting for you through every storm.
I love this i needed to see this!!
Great read, Jeremy! Thank you. Because yes, this week has been mentally draining and physically in this Louisiana heat. Between working 2 jobs and being a full time single mom, life can be very demanding. Father’s Day is never a big day for me because my child’s father isn’t present and my dad ehhhh but the reminder to present and love on the ones that I have was much needed. Although this wasn’t the usual travel post, the challenge to embark on the journey of self is a great tip! Love you. ♥️
Love this. I’m working on getting out my comfort zone so I could start taking more trips for myself and for my daughter.
Well said! Life can become overwhelming to the point that we miss out on the fruits of our labor
